The World No. 10th ranked Andrea Petkovic to clash against Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland in the quarter of the Rogers Cup tournament, which will begin at 15:00 local time on Friday at Rexall Centre in Toronto.
The 23-year-old Petkovic has been playing well in this season, where she had reached the quarter final of Australian Open and French Open. The German star Petkovic has overcome against Petra Kvitova with a 6-1 and 6-2 in the third round and conquers Greta Arn with a 6-4 and 7-5 in the second round, while thrashed Eugenie Bouchard of Canada in straight sets with a 6-2 and 6-2.
The Poland star Radwanska defeated World No. 3 ranked player Vera Zvonareva in the third round with a 6-4 and 7-6 on Thursday. Radwanska also won the 2011 Mercury Insurance Open on Stanford, defeated Vera Zvonareva in the finals with a 6-3 and 6-4. The 22-year-old Radwanska hopes to clinch the title in Toronto this week, before heading to Cincinnati.
Both the players are clashing for the fourth occasion in career, where Radwanska leads with a 3-0 head-to-head record against German star. But, both the players are having the most of the opportunities’ to win the quarter final match on Friday Rexall Centre in Toronto. The pair has last clashed at Carlsbad WTA Premier on last week, where Radwanska won the match in three sets.
